Jeff’s Corner: A Moment of Gratitude

Snow is starting to accumulate in the mountains and the beautiful fall colors have mostly faded away above the plains. The transition from fall to winter is always a reflective time for me. In a tumultuous industry, it’s important to take time to be thankful for the people that make this business the colorful and vibrant experience it is.

A few things I’m grateful for this year:

  • Preparing for the Road Ahead: Our new partnership with New Mexico MLS, Prime MLS, Hive MLS and CREN brought you a virtual spring MLS Summit and a summertime AI session complete with a resource booklet and real-life examples of “AI empowered” agents using new technologies to their benefit. I was glad to see hundreds of IRES subscribers participate in these professional development opportunities, to learn new skills and better understand how AI will impact our industry.
  • Constantly Improving: Many of you provided feedback and insight to IRES as Early Adopters, through direct feedback to our customer service team and in our annual survey. Some of you even took the extra step of working one on one with our Product Development team to help us refine both subtle and more significant adjustments in IRESis and to our products, to make the workflow better and faster for everyone.
  • Good People: IRES is made up of real humans in your community. You’ll see IRES staff at training or industry events, but don’t forget they live and participate in the same communities you do every day. We brought on a couple of new faces to the IRES staff this year and I love the energy they bring to the loyal staffers who have served you for many years.

While you contemplate how to evolve your business in this environment of constant change, IRES is doing the same. We are fortunate to have a seat at the table for the national conversations that are going on, where we can gather and test new ideas and prep for future changes.

Helping you support your clients as easily and efficiently as possible remains our priority. This holiday season, on behalf of all the IRES staff, I am thankful for all of this and more.
