This month, we’re getting to know one of the newer members of our team, John Stegner. John is a client support and training specialist, assisting IRES subscribers with utilizing the MLS.
You’ll see John visiting brokerages, and he teaches classes on IRES to help subscribers get the most out of the tools available. We encourage you to reach out to him with any questions you may have about IRES, its products or our classes!
How long have you been with IRES and what made you excited to join?
I joined IRES in May 2025, shortly after graduating from CSU. I was drawn to IRES because of my long-time interest in the industry. During the interview process, the conversations I had with Annie, Jeff, and Julie about IRES’s mission and values piqued my interest and made me excited to join the IRES team.
What is your favorite part about your job?
I have always found value and meaning in helping people. In my role, I’m able to do just that as the first line of support for subscribers. By nature, real estate can be a high pressure and time sensitive industry, so being able to ease some of that stress and serve as a reliable resource for our users has been very rewarding!
What accomplishment are you most proud of at IRES?
So far, teaching my first class has been my proudest accomplishment at IRES. For me, it marked a meaningful transition from being a student of the MLS and real estate industry for years, to a competent professional sharing that information with others.
What’s something you’re looking forward to in your role?
I am looking forward to conducting more subscriber outreach and getting to know more members of the IRES community! I love meeting new people, and any opportunity to visit brokerages, make new connections and hear new perspectives is something I am very excited about. It’s also a key part of the job since subscribers utilize the system in very different ways.
What’s something about you that your coworkers or subscribers might not know?
I am a sixth generation Colorado native, and a certified PADI Divemaster!
